Your neighborhood is my neighborhood. Located in Lexington, Kentucky I create and serve great food for communities throughout Central Kentucky.  I also offer limited service to clients visiting Saratoga Springs for the August Select Yearling sales through my family’s restaurant in Vermont.

The name, Neighborhood Chef, reflects my philosophy of blending global cooking techniques and ideas with local flavors and ingredients.  It's about sustainable cuisine, something that makes all our neighborhoods more livable in the future.

I am committed to maximizing the benefits of great fresh foods. I promote the concept of seasonal, sustainable, and locally grown food and am happy to present on this topic to local organizations or schools. The promotion of a "sustainable cuisine" celebrates the pleasures of food and a diversity of cultures, while recognizing the impact of food on our health and our environment.

I have over twelve years of professional experience.  A fourth generation chef, I began working in my family restaurant and later apprenticed abroad developing a style that combines family favorites with European flavors. I am also a trained botanist with interests in ecology and evolutionary theory.  I love what I do...my love of science and the art of cooking are captured in close attention to quality ingredients, fresh flavors, and classic technique.  I look forward to cooking for you.

Cheers!
